Over at Disneyland Resort, the Halloween season is slowly starting to begin. From new decorations to loads of new merchandise, we can’t wait for these next few months. Join us on our latest visit to check it out for yourself!
Disneyland Drive – Tram Route
Last week we noticed a new sound system had been installed along the parking structure tram route at Disneyland Resort. While driving by today, we realized the background music had been turned off.
Disneyland Hotel
The Disneyland Hotel is still closed to guests, but the area isn’t entirely dormant. Along the Frontier tower, we noticed many Mobile Mini storage units set up along with tarp coverings.
This may have something to do with the upcoming 12-story Disney Vacation Club tower being added alongside the Fantasy, Adventure, and Frontier towers at the Disneyland Hotel.
Downtown Disney District
As we expected with it being a weekend, Downtown Disney Parking hit capacity multiple times throughout the day. Parking remains stalled until cars are able to enter.
Onto Downtown Disney! We entered around 5 pm today.
Temperature checks ran smoothly once again.
Additional seating has been moved farther out into the walkway for crowds this weekend.
Many guests waited for reservations outside Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen.
Starbucks is still offering mobile ordering and a physical line.
While Salt & Straw is open, their rooftop patio remains closed to guests.
Outdoor dining remains to be the only option at Downtown Disney due to California governor, Gavin Newsom’s shutdown of indoor dining rooms.
Guests waiting for reservations sat on the marked social distancing areas.
The Disney Home Store
We waited about a hour and 45 minutes to enter the Home Store.
Spooky Season has arrived! To take a look at every piece of new Disneyland Resort Halloween merchandise for 2020, click here.
Along with fall foliage, the Home Store is celebrating with this spooky pumpkin home sign.
World of Disney
To join the virtual queue for World of Disney today, you still have to make your way over to the tram loading station across the walkway from the store.
The seating offered in the tram loading station offers some much needed shade for guests on these bright sunny days.
After waiting about two hours, we finally were able to enter the physical queue.
World of Disney Displays
While waiting for World of Disney, guests have time to check out these “spook-takular” window displays! This art features Donald’s Creepy & Quacky Halloween Candy Company.
This poster presents Mickey’s Halloween Trick-or-Treat Candy Co.
Mickey and Minnie are stirring up some sweet treats against this dark purple background.
Goofy is portraying a jester on this Goofy’s Creepy and Crazy, Candy and Decor art.
These displays give a peak to guests of all the new Halloween merchandise right before entering the store.
The same art from the character art on the windows can be seen on a few pieces of merchandise.
This sweet and spooky display showcases some of the new Haunted Mansion merchandise that has recently arrived to the Disneyland Resort.
Let’s check out the inside!
Within just a few days, World of Disney has become a Halloween fantasy!
Select Halloween glow items are available for $10.00 plus tax.
Downtown Disney at Night
Outside Tortilla Jo’s, we stopped by and said goodnight to the ducks.
It was nice to see quiet pathways after a busy day at Downtown Disney.
That’s all for this visit! Make sure to check back, and follow us on social media via Instagram and Twitter for more updates on the Disneyland Resort.
