Welcome to another epic day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. After the crazy weekend crowds, we’re excited to see things a little more calm this morning. As soon as we arrived, we spotted a major Halloween Horror Nights reveal: A Beetlejuice face mask!

This extremely detailed face mask has confirmed for us that there was definitely going to be a Beetlejuice themed house or scare zone. We’re not sure whether we should be excited or heartbroken, but we’ll be interested to see what other merchandise might arrive for other houses.

Inside the Tribute Store, we noticed that the “30 Years, 30 Fears” Halloween Horror Nights icons lanyard no longer comes with the plastic ID sleeve. We discovered the retro lanyard and ID holder had been split up recently, and now the same goes for the HHN lanyard. You can get a generic Universal Studios ID holder for $1 extra.

We decided to take a trip over to Islands of Adventure to check on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and we were thrilled to see that it has finally reopened.

Over in Jurassic Park, we see some small changes around the coaster construction. The support beams that we spotted in our last update have been installed as they prepare to install the final pieces of coaster track.

If you haven’t heard, Jurassic Park is a great bird-watching location. Last week, we spotted an osprey and a nest up along the tallest point of the track. The nest disappeared over the weekend, so we were surprised to see not one, but two ospreys perched on the track this morning.

Over at the Mulberry Street Store, some new Grinch themed kitchenware has arrived. There’s a salt and pepper shaker featuring the Grinch and Max for $34, a Grinch spoon rest for $16, and a serving plate for $21.

Before heading back to Universal Studios Florida, we stopped into Cafe 4 to try the Annual Passholder Pizza Fries. They were so much better than we expected, so be sure to check out our full review!

We headed back over to Universal Studios Florida just as the weather had started to turn for the worse. We’ve mentioned previously about times we’ve encountered difficulty with social distancing during storms and how we’ve seen Team Members use quick thinking to solve the problem. Now, Universal has also created designated rain shelters to help guests with social distancing. We ducked into Cafe La Bamba Restaurant partially to get away from the rain, but mostly to see some of the beautiful details inside.

Cafe La Bamba has most recently been used for a dining location for guests who are doing the VIP Experience. Now, thanks to the typical Florida afternoon rain, we found ourselves able to take in some of the elegant decor and unique photos throughout.

When we arrived in Diagon Alley, we noticed some mysterious barricades around Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. We heard this was due to dark magic and possibly something falling from the roof. In an effort to protect Muggles from danger, these barricades have magically appeared.

The “Trolls World Tour” photo op has finally been removed from KidZone.

You can still find the Trolls meeting and greeting guests nearby, though.
