PHOTOS, REVIEW: The Cheshire Cat Tail Has Returned to the Magic Kingdom and it’s Just as Good as We Remember

This morning the Cheshire Cat Tail returned to the Magic Kingdom, and we knew we had to order this delicious treat to celebrate its return to the park!

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, this popular treat was available at the Cheshire Cafe. Since the parks reopened, that location has not reopened in the Magic Kingdom, and a sign in the window suggests guests visit Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies instead.

However, the Cheshire Cat Tail is not available at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, but it has instead made its new home at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.

We took advantage of mobile ordering this snack first thing in the morning. A Cheshire Cat Tail will set you back $5.49, but we promise you, it’s worth every penny.

As we entered Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, we saw multiple tails ready for guests to dive into!

A Cheshire Cat Tail is a pastry with a cream filling, oozing with chocolate chips, and covered in pink and purple frosting as an homage to the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

We first tried this snack when it debuted in 2017, and it’s been one of our favorite park snacks since. The chocolate chips, mixed with the filling, and colored icing makes for a sweet indulgence.

The price for this treat is reasonable, especially for the hefty portion size. With the Magic Kingdom low on breakfast options, we highly recommend giving a Cheshire Cat Tail a try. Do note that Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe opens daily at 10:30 am.
