Disney Casts Tatiana Maslany for Upcoming “She-Hulk” Disney+ Series
According to Variety, Tatiana Maslany is near closing a deal to play the lead role in the upcoming “She-Hulk” series for Disney+. The series was first announced at D23 last year, but not much has been heard about it since then.
She-Hulk, whose real name is Jennifer Walters, is a lawyer and the cousin of Bruce Banner who gains his powers after a blood transfusion. However, Jennifer Walters maintains more of her personality and physique when she hulks out. She first appeared in The Savage She-Hulk in February 1980.
Maslany is best known for “Orphan Black”, in which she played over a dozen characters. She was lauded for her acting, and won the Emmy for best actress in a drama series in 2016. More recently, she has starred in “Perry Mason”, Pink Wall, and Destroyer.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Kat Coiro had joined “She-Hulk” as a director and executive producer. Jessica Gao is the series’ writer, executive producer, and showrunner.
