Some Universal Orlando Resort attractions are now loading every row of a ride vehicle, instead of leaving empty rows between parties for social distancing.

On Skull Island: Reign of Kong, plexiglass dividers have been added between the loading gates and each row of seats inside the ride vehicles.

Unfortunately, this does cause a lot of issues with visual elements being reflected onto the plexiglass panels themselves.

We also saw every row filled on The Incredible Hulk Coaster, although some seats were empty, as parties still get their own rows.

Team Members are filling every row on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure as well, where the CDC has determined the seats are more than six feet apart.

So far, we have only seen this happening at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Filling ride vehicles closer to capacity could cut wait times at the most popular attractions. Each row still only holds one party and guests are still required to wear masks on attractions.

How do you feel about ride vehicles being filled again? Let us know in the comments.

  1. Social distancing on high speed rides has never made sense. There is no way you could ever put enough distance between riders. Take the precautions you rationally can, and move on. If you are afraid, don’t ride, or stay home. I’ll be there in three weeks ready to have a good time.

  2. They need to do this on Gringotts. The seats are just as far apart as on Rip Ride Rockit. I saw a vehicle loaded with one person in the front row and two people in the back row. The middle row was empty. That vehicle holds 12 people and ran with only 3. They could have had another group in the middle row.
