REVIEW: New Magic Mirror Crispy Treat Pop and Churro Marshmallow Wand are the Fairest Halloween Treats in the Disneyland Resort

Marceline’s Confectionery is the one-stop shop for sweets in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. From handmade candies and baked goods to park favorites like Mickey Premium Bars and Main Street Popcorn Company Caramel Corn, this sweet spot has it all. And at Halloween time, the treats turn spooky to get into the SPIRIT of the season.

This year, Marceline’s has brought out some delicious offerings of candied apples, marshmallow wands and even a crispy treat pie slice. We stopped by to sample some new offerings for the spooky season — the Churro Marshmallow Wand and the Magic Mirror Crispy Treat.

Magic Mirror Crispy Treat — $5.99

This is a pretty basic treat. The crisped rice was almost buttery with a prominent marshmallow flavor, but very good. It was topped with a layer of milk chocolate which was very rich but not too sweet. The frosting for the outline didn’t do much other than help the appearance, but overall a fun option.

Churro Marshmallow Wand — $5.49

This treat has a thick marshmallow center that is dipped in caramel and coated with white chocolate, and then dusted in that Disneyland fan-favorite flavor, Churro (cinnamon and sugar).

While there is a lot of marshmallow, the caramel and cinnamon flavors are strong enough to even it out. The caramel is sweet and thick while the churro and white chocolate coating adds the strong sugary taste.

The outside coating is a little bit more dense than it looks, but isn’t too hard to bite into. If you like churro toffee and marshmallows, then this is your perfect Disneyland treat.
