PHOTO REPORT: Magic Kingdom 11/5/20 (Slides and Bridges Added to Stages in Cinderella Castle, Tomorrowland Supports Painted, New Citizen Watches, and More)

Hello from a lovely day here at the Magic Kingdom! It was a quiet day here, and felt a little bit like Christmas Eve as we are waiting for all the holiday food and festivities to start tomorrow. We still found plenty to keep us busy, though! Let’s get started!

When we entered the park, we noticed that the Emporium had gotten all dressed up for the party a day early. All of the Christmas window displays have been installed and are looking mighty festive!

The stage in front of Cinderella Castle has had slides and rope bridges added to it. We are excited to see what these will be used for!

In other construction news, three supports have been painted white in Tomorrowland. The first was recently covered in a scrim tower, but is uncovered now, and is located near the entrance of Buzz Lightyear‘s Space Ranger Spin.

The other two are halfway in between Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and the Carousel of Progress. Progress on the painting of these supports is progressing faster than ever before!

The draining of the Rivers of America is almost complete, with the pumps draining the last remaining puddles of water. Once the water is removed, we expect to see refurbishment work begin in earnest.

Cinderella Fountain was drained a few days ago, and today we saw it had gotten a fresh coat of paint, and was sporting “Wet Paint” signs. Hopefully the lovely artwork on the back of the fountain will get a good cleaning before this refurbishment is over!

We found some new merchandise today that we knew we had to show you. The first few pieces were a line of youth pajamas featuring characters from DuckTales. This shirt was our favorite, featuring the three brothers Huey, Dewey, and Louie and the phrase “Hug It Out”. We found this shirt at the Emporium for $24.99.

The second was this pair of jogger paints also featuring the three brothers. Also found at the Emporium, this pants retail for $24.99.

The third piece was this shirt featuring an allover print of the three brothers. The raglan colorblock of this shirt really highlights the use of color in the design! We found it at the Emporium for $24.99.

It was a good day for youth merchandise, as we found this dip dye Spirit Jersey as well. We love the playful colors in this one! We found this at the Emporium for $49.99.

We found this adorable shirt featuring characters from the film Coco in a charming new art style that’s been showing up on some merchandise for the film recently. We found this shirt at Plaza del Sol Caribe for $24.99.

We also found this zip-up hoodie in adult sizes when we had previously only found it in youth sizes. The back features a “Remember Me” medallion design.

The front of the hoodie is plain on the body, but the hood has a mesh mask that Velcro’s shut over the wearer’s face to mimic the appearance of Miguel, the main character from the film. This hoodie was also at Plaza del Sol Caribe for $39.99.

Our favorite find of the day was this Citizen watch featuring the clock from Cinderella Castle. It’s just one of several new Citizen watches now available at Uptown Jewelers. For more photos and information, see our article here.

We had a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
