Avengers, assemble! Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro has revealed a first look inside the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster inside the Universe of Energy pavilion at EPCOT.
Inside, you see sections of the massive, winding track as guests zoom through the massive show building, which is over 12 stories in height. The track layout consists of many tight turns and long straightaways that will likely be accented with projection effects. In the upper right-hand corner, you can see one of the set pieces that matches the concept art portals as seen in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Ride vehicles will combine the speed of a rollercoaster with additional functions like the ability to spin and turn.
Currently, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set for a 2021 opening date at EPCOT. Are you looking forward to experiencing this new thrill ride inside World Discovery? Let us know in the comments below!
The Disney bosses are really pushing out these sneak peaks after initially announcing that work on this attraction as well as other attractions like tron, ratatouille have been suspended in favor of Star Wars $4k/night hotel and space 420 restaurant.
They must’ve seen a dip in annual pass renewals. Thanks & kudos to Tom. His rants are truly effective
