PHOTOS, VIDEO: Christmas Decorations Arrive at the Magic Kingdom for the 2020 Holiday Season

Are you still working your way through that Halloween candy? Have you put your costume in the wash? Because at the Magic Kingdom, Christmas has arrived on Main Street! Typically, we don’t see this change until at least November 2, but with minimalist Halloween now over, they seemed to have gone into full garland mode overnight!

As you near the Magic Kingdom, you can see the garland up by the train station, and as you enter the park.

Then, in Town Square, the grand Christmas Tree has made its debut this year, taking over the spot where we saw the “Sharing the Magic” Roy and Minnie statue removed late last week.

All of the buildings along Main Street have been decked out with poinsettias, garland, and more holiday touches.

Those looking to shop for Christmas may still have to wait a few more days, as The Emporium is still fully stocked with Halloween merch. However, if you look up, you’ll notice large Christmas wreaths and garlands.

Walking down Main Street, the streets are flanked with “candle-lit” wreaths.

The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor always gets one of the most extravagant wreaths as it caps off Main Street, and even Casey’s, which is still closed, received a touch of holiday decor.

Along the hub, the Pumpkin Mickeys have been replaced with holiday wreaths as well.

Behind Cinderella Castle, bunting has been strung, filled with Christmas ornaments.

  1. I was at WDW the full week before Christmas in 2019. It wasn’t supposed to be crowded; they said managable at least. HA !!! Between the weather (rain 5 days) and the crowds it was impossible to do much. Had to wait 45 minutes or more for a bus to/from our resort several times. Going to visit the various resorts would have been a big waste of time. The only transportation that wasn’t obscenely crowded was the new Skyway. We still had a great time, but didn’t/couldn’t see much of the decorations. I wouldn’t plan on another pre-Christmas trip until 2022…..it looks like the C-19 will take that long to tame.
