Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree…
We’re singing Christmas carols all day at Walt Disney World now that they’ve released all of their holiday treats. Today we picked up the Holiday Tree Mousse from Backlot Express in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Holiday Tree Mousse – $5.49
Milk Chocolate Chai Mousse on an Almond Financier Cake and a Butter Cookie
The mousse itself is really delicious. The chai spice in addition to the chocolate makes it spectacular. It’s not too strong, though. There’s just enough spice to make it interesting.
The mousse sits on top of an almond financier cake stacked on top of a mini brownie of sorts, which is soft and chewy, but firm enough to hold up the dessert.
The butter cookie on the bottom is great, but is dyed red and will stain.
The almond cookie between the mousse and brownie pairs perfectly with the rest of the treat. It doesn’t overpower the soft flavor of the mousse.
Overall, this is a complex and wonderful dessert. Plus, it has a killer presentation! We would get this again.
