Though TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom may not open in time for the park’s 50th anniversary, construction on the exterior of the attraction continues.
Construction workers were busy when we visited the construction site today.
The canopy framework has enclosed the tallest point of the coaster track.
More pieces will be installed along the white curved piece.
Paneling looks complete on the show building where the track enters The Grid.
Scaffolding still remains.
Workers were moving a large support beam.
A portion of canopy was being staged, though not installed in the actual framework yet.
The piece was placed on the ground nearby.
Watch a video of the piece being moved in our tweet below.
Though there’s still plenty of work to do, hopefully the canopy will be complete soon.
Hopefully, we will still be able to ride TRON Lightcycle / Run next year, but until then can watch our POV video from its sister coaster in Shanghai Disneyland below.
