A unique new cookie is now available at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion of EPCOT. Though not listed on the menu, this new “Almond Ring” is available and on display in the bakery’s pastry case.
Almond Ring – $3.49
This ring cookie has almonds on top.
This cookie is very soft and almost sticky once bitten into. The main flavor is almond with a sweet base akin to a sugar cookie.
It’s not a complex flavor, but it’s a delicious treat.
We would definitely get it again and think it would go well with coffee.

It IS LISTED on the menu. “Kransekake”, right at the bottom of the list. It is traditionally made as a stack of rings of decreasing width, glued together with something sticky.
According to cast members, this is not that. They could be wrong, but seems weird they wouldn’t know.
Traditionally a kransekake is made with almonds, sugar, egg whites and the almond ring has a few more ingredients, it’s two very different types of treats. As a Norwegian I really hope the cast members are right.
