WDWNT is Hiring Orlando-Based Walt Disney World Reporters!

As WDWNT continues to grow, we are looking for additional full-time local reporters to expand our Orlando-based staff. WDWNT’s Orlando reporter staff visit the parks several days a week during the morning and afternoon to report on new developments in construction, food and beverage offerings, merchandise and more. The details are below. Please note that this position requires a specific time commitment each week. The start date is immediate.

Orlando-Based Reporter Job Description

A typical day as a WDWNT Orlando reporter will involve arriving to your assigned Disney theme park or resort prior to park opening. You will report via social media, photography, articles and video on new developments in all four parks and resorts, including new construction, renovations/refurbishment, new merchandise, new food and beverage offerings, crowd levels, maintenance issues, and more. The position is contract-based and paid hourly ($15/hr). It requires availability to visit the parks at least 4 days a week during mornings and afternoons, and some evening hours may also be needed for special events, etc.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of and passion for Disney parks and resorts
  • Residence within daily driving distance of the Walt Disney World Resort
  • A Walt Disney World Annual Pass

Preferred skills:

  • Writing and/or reporting experience
  • Video filming and editing experience
  • Technical media skills: WordPress, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
