PHOTOS: Roof Removal Begins on Art of Disney Section of Innoventions West at EPCOT

Much of the roof of Innoventions West has been removed as the building is slowly demolished in EPCOT. Since yesterday, roof removal has begun on the Art of Disney section of the building.

An overhang previously ran across the front of this building, and a piece of it remains to the right.

There’s actually now a hole in the center of the roof.

The roof is pretty much entirely gone from the rest of the old Innoventions West building.

There is now only the barebones support structure.

Once the roof is completely removed, we’ll see the support structure start to come down.

From the other side of the building, we can still see some of the roof that remains.

But it doesn’t look in good shape, indicating removal has already begun. Corrugated paneling has been exposed.

Once completed, this area will be home to Moana – Journey of Water and a Festival area (likely not the building seen in the rendering below).
