There’s a lot of sweet ways to celebrate Mardi Gras at the Universal Orlando Resort this year. If you’re looking for a wide selection of scrumptious desserts, we suggest you make your way directly to the Mardi Gras Tribute Store at Universal Studios Florida. Among the themed snacks, there’s a very unique looking Macaron “Doughnut”.
This isn’t your typical doughnut, though. This macaron is decorated by purple and green icing and tiny chocolate beads.
The outside pieces of the macaron were chewy and unbelievably fresh. Unfortunately, we weren’t fans of the filling.
According to the Team Members, this is a chocolate blueberry filling, but all we can taste is an overwhelmingly strong, artificial berry taste. Sadly, this was one of our least favorite treats from the Tribute Store, although it is one of the prettiest.
We loved the concept of this Mardi Gras Macaron Doughnut, but we didn’t enjoy the berry flavor inside. Luckily, there are many more sweet snacks to try, including the Bananas Foster Cheesecake Pop. Will you be visiting Universal Orlando for Mardi Gras this year?
