Welcome to another busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort! We’re back in the parks today after enjoying a relaxing weekend at the reopening of Volcano Bay. Let’s make our way over to Universal Studios Florida first and see what’s happening.
It’s March 1, so that means we can pick up the latest UOAP button from the UOAP Lounge. This month features the “shortcut snack” of Green Eggs and Ham. Annual Passholders can add this button to their collection while supplies last.
“A Day in the Park with Barney” has closed forever, and now with the barricades gone, we can get a little closer to the old fountain. We can also see that Peek A Boo’s house is still untouched, for now.
We pointed out that the sign still remained on one of the Studio Directories nearby but now it has been removed.
They missed this one, just outside of KidZone. Maybe we shouldn’t have mentioned it was still there. It’s most likely going to be removed soon. Sad times.
Blue Man Group signs have also been removed from around the park.
On busy days, it’s often difficult for guests to locate the standby entrances and Express Pass entrances for certain attractions, so now Team Members have these useful paddles to help guests find them.
When we say there are Mardi Gras beads everywhere, we mean it.
We stopped into Richter’s Burger Co. to try the new Annual Passholder Truffle Fries. Stay tuned for our full review.
Over at Islands of Adventure, we found that Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey Team Members are also holding the paddle signs at the entrance.
The stage in Hogsmeade now has a wall up around it so there will be no Triwizard Spirit Rally or Frog Choir performances this week. We’re told they should return this Saturday.
There’s Magic at Work on the patio behind Three Broomsticks, but we’re not really sure we’d call VelociCoaster testing magical. It’ll be a lot more magical once we can ride!
More signs have gone up in the area informing guests that the Jurassic World VelociCoaster is scheduled to open Summer 2021.
We spotted the vehicles continually cycling and there were even 3 vehicles out on the track at once. Check out our post here for more photos and video of all the coaster vehicles going at once.
The digital wait time sign for Jurassic Park River Adventure now looks a little more themed with numbers resembling the Jurassic Park logo.
Construction walls are down around the entrance of the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man now that repairs are complete.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us today and stay tuned for more updates from WDWNT and Universal Parks News Today!
