Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal’s Island of Adventure is quickly gearing up for its opening this year. Our latest update saw mist effects turned on around the attraction. Today we spotted some new lockers at the Jurassic Park Discovery Center which will serve guests riding the brand new coaster. Take a closer look down below:
These digital lockers utilize a guest’s park tickets to open.
We have also heard that additional lockers may be installed closer to the end of the queue of the VelociCoaster for ease of access for guests getting off of the attraction. This seems likely as this is not a large amount of lockers. These are also large, so we suspect these are the paid lockers for bigger items, while the free lockers will be closer to the ride.
You can see the location of the new Locker area in relation to the dinosaur skeleton on the right hand side.
Last year we reported that the Jurassic Park Discovery Center has reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic as a Passholders exclusive lounge. The location of the locker takes the place of a former Dinosaur-themed play area which remained walled off until today.
This addition comes just one day after the completion of the painting of the Discovery Center sign.
Are you excited to hitch a ride with some Velociraptors when Jurassic World VelociCoaster opens later this year? Let us know in the comments!
I wonder if they’ll open a little earlier than Summer.
