Peter Pan’s Flight is receiving an exterior makeover just in time for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. The attraction’s facade is hidden by themed scrims so painting and other work can be done. The main sign, featuring Peter, Wendy, and the rest of the crew has been removed and a themed scrim is hung in its place.
The scrim matches the exterior of the attraction’s facade with fleur de lys and the same font that’s featured in the normal sign.
The bright blue and orange help the temporary sign blend in as much as possible while work can take place on the real sign.
Holes in the building’s exterior and discoloration show where the sign is normally hung.
The queue is still directed on the outside of the building towards Columbia Harbor House next to these themed scrims.
The normal sign features Peter Pan, Wendy, John, and Michael flying over London on their way to Neverland. The sign is likely receiving some updated paint as part of the exterior refurbishment project.
