RUMOR: Parades Returning March 27th to Tokyo Disneyland, Mickey’s Magical Music World, Big Band Beat and Usatama on the Run! Beginning April 1st

At long last, entertainment may finally be returning in (almost) full swing to Tokyo Disney Resort! Parades and seasonal events are rumored to be on their way back to Tokyo Disney Resort according to pages on the Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Packages site, and the exciting new Mickey’s Magical Music World show may make its grand debut in the coming week! This would be the second full-scale return of entertainment to a Disney park, after Shanghai Disneyland last year.

Twitter users caught changes on the Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package site suggesting that shows and parades will be returning to the parks in the next week. These pages have since been removed from the official website. But the details within are described below.

Beginning March 27th, Dreaming Up! and Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade: DreamLights will reportedly return to the streets of Tokyo Disneyland every day.

Usatama on the Run Tokyo Disneyland Easter Parade

Additionally, two shows will reportedly be making a return starting April 1st—Usatama on the Run! will return to the streets of Tokyo Disneyland for its third Easter season from April 1st through May 31st. Additionally, Big Band Beat will resume performing at the Broadway Music Theater at Tokyo DisneySea on the same day.

Finally, Mickey’s Magical Music World, previously scheduled to debut April 15th of last year in the new Fantasyland Forest Theater, will at long last reportedly make its grand debut on April 1st this year! The Oriental Land Company provided a synopsis back in December of 2019:

One day, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy find a giant music box deep in the forest. They turn the music box’s large golden key and doors suddenly open. Accompanied by the songs associated with them, various Disney Characters appear including Snow White, Pinocchio, Woody and his friends from the Disney and Pixar Toy Story film series, and more. Mickey and his Pals are delighted with the surprising development and are excited to hear the next song. But when the last door opens, no one appears and no music is heard. Worried, Mickey and his Pals set off on a journey to find the missing song. Along the way they encounter characters from many Disney films. Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast welcomes them with a colorful banquet. King Louie and others from The Jungle Book together with Timon from The Lion King put on a powerful jungle-style performance. In a lovely world of starry skies and mirrors, the Disney Princesses dance a graceful waltz. And then Ursula from The Little Mermaid and Captain Hook from Peter Pan appear in a thrilling scene. Will the journey of Mickey and his Pals lead them to the lost song?

As mentioned previously, this would be the second full-scale return of entertainment to a Disney park, following the return of shows and parades to Shanghai Disneyland last year. Song of Mirage at Tokyo DisneySea and Let’s Party Gras! will remain on hiatus for now. Are you excited to see entertainment return to Tokyo Disney Resort? Let us know in the comments below!
