Shanghai Disney Resort has announced the “Year of Magical Surprises” to celebrate its 5th birthday, having first opened on June 16, 2016. The celebration kicks off April 8, 2021, and will be full of special experiences, exclusive merchandise, and delicious treats.

Mickey and his friends, as well as Duffy and his friends, will dress up in special 5th birthday celebration outfits!
“Disney Surprise Cake Float” Lead the Parade
A big birthday cake made especially for the 5th birthday celebration will lead Mickey’s Storybook Express.
Enjoy Disney “Surprise!” Show
Up to four times per day, Mickey and Minnie, in their special birthday attire, will present the new Disney “Surprise!” Show on the Pepsi • E-stage in Tomorrowland. Along with unique Disney entertainment, selected guests will have an opportunity to spin the Disney Surprise Wheel to win bigger surprises.
A Celebration for Your Taste Buds
Surprising new set menus, beverages in a collectible surprise sipper, and adorable popcorn buckets offer a celebration for all your senses.
Exclusive Merchandise
A variety of exclusive items will be available to collect as commemorative gifts for the “Year of Magical Surprises.”
