VIDEOS: Routine Refurbishments Happening at Tower of Terror and Throughout Disneyland Paris as Theme Parks Remains Closed

Cast Members at Disneyland Paris Resort are taking advantage of the parks’ extended closure by working on routine refurbishments during the day. In a new series of videos, these Cast Members take us through the different projects they are currently working on throughout both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios Park. Thank you to OutsidEars for sharing!

Routine repainting of the lower parts of Main Street U.S.A. stores usually takes place at night, with the upper parts being repainted every three years, but Cast have had the opportunity to work on these repainting projects more during the closure. The Storybook Store is currently surrounded with scaffolding as it receives maintenance usually planned for every fifteen to twenty years. Signs for each store have been taken down and refreshed. Work is also happening inside Main Street stores and restaurants, including in the Market House Deli, where props are being fixed.

The gazebo on Main Street U.S.A., as well as Sleeping Beauty Castle, have also been under refurbishment.

Similar to Main Street U.S.A., facades in Fantasyland are also being renovated. In the video above we see the Chalet de la Marionnette, which has been completely cleaned and restored.

We’ve reported on the updates to Snow White’s Scary Adventures, and Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is receiving a similar refurbishment. Many lights in the attraction have been replaced with LED, which make the set seem brighter and last longer.

Finally, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is being refurbished in Walt Disney Studios Park. Patinas inside the attraction have been repainted and a Cast Member in the video above shared how the ride came together back in 2007, including how the ride’s faux cobwebs were made.
