Disney Cruise Line’s next ship, Disney Wish, has reached a major construction milestone with the traditional keel-laying ceremony.

In this ceremony, a newly-minted coin is placed under a ship’s keel for good fortune. Disney Wish’s coin features Captain Minnie Mouse.

Captain Minnie herself provided a closer look at her special coin.

Captain Minnie was introduced on the Disney Cruise Line in 2019 to inspire future generations of female cruise leaders.

Disney also revealed that the bow of the Disney Wish will feature the same artwork of Captain Minnie. Fans may spot Mickey, Pluto, and more friends in the bow’s filigree design too.
