PHOTOS, VIDEO: Tour a Woods-Courtyard View Room with “Enhanced Cleaning” in the Reopened Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa reopened today — the first of the Disneyland hotels to do so — a day ahead of Disneyland’s grand reopening. We checked in to the hotel and, after some shopping, headed to our room. We’re staying in a woods-courtyard view room with two queen beds. Join us for a tour!

The entrance to the hotel looks as good as ever, and balloons were installed to celebrate the property hosting guests once again.

The room starts with hardwood floors, before moving to carpet in the bedroom area.

There’s a door next to the front door that would lead into an adjoining room.

The “occupied” door handle hanger is Peter Pan-themed.

There’s a row of hooks next to the door for hanging bags, jackets, or even masks.

Just before entering the carpeted section is a wardrobe.

It has several hangers, as well as the ironing board, safe, and folding luggage rack.

Moving on is a small kitchenette, with a Keurig and ice bucket.

In the drawer below is tea, coffee, and cups.

Below that Keurig is the mini-fridge, which is hidden with a latticework door.

The bins are split into trash and recycling, so make sure you throw waste into the correct side!

There’s a long desk with a chair, lamp, and mirror above.

Artwork on one wall depicts a carousel in a beautiful Californian landscape.

The beds are raised so luggage can be stored beneath them.

They have white linens and dark brown headboards.

A beautiful tree mural rises from between the beds.

Chip and Dale can be seen stealing some fruit from the tree.

There are two reading lights above each bed, attached to the headboard. Switches for the lights are directly beneath them.

The bedside table includes the phone, clock, and TV remote.

The remote is in a plastic bag indicating that it has been cleaned. This is one of the changes related to COVID-19 and the “enhanced cleaning” now being done in guest rooms. Glassware, where available, is also individually wrapped, pillows are double-cased, and high-touch areas are receiving extra cleaning.

There’s a drawer above an open storage space.

USB and standard three-prong ports are above the table.

There is more orange-themed artwork above the sofa.

The furniture is all marble-topped.

There’s a dresser beneath the TV with six drawers.

More wall ports can be found above the dresser and desk.

Outside the bathroom, you’ll find the vanity.

The mirror lights up, giving the space a more white light.

Another paper hanger reminds guests to conserve energy.

There are two sinks with toiletries between them.

There’s even a cute succulent to accentuate the counter space.

There are two shelves beneath the sinks. A step stool, basket, and trashcan are beneath.

A hairdryer in a bag is on one of the shelves.

And spare toilet paper can be found on the other.

A wood door hides the toilet and shower room.

The door slides open to the left.

The shower has a fully glass wall and door.

In addition to the towel rack on the wall, a second towel rack on the glass door doubles as a handle.

The shower head is in the center of the ceiling, but there’s also a wall-mounted removable unit.

There’s a small triangular-shaped seat in the corner.

Finally, we also had a balcony hidden by curtains.

The balcony has two chairs and a small table.

As we knew from our reservation, we had a woods-courtyard view.

Through the trees, we could see a hint of the Monorail track.

We also have a full video tour of the woods-courtyard view room, viewable below and on our YouTube channel:
