Welcome to another amazing day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s a beautiful Friday and we’re ready to take on the weekend crowds! Before heading into the parks, we stopped into Voodoo Doughnut for their newest doughnut.

Universal Orlando promised us a churro stand was coming for summer 2021 and they have delivered. The new Churro Stand Doughnut is now available from Voodoo Doughnut. Read our full review of this dulce de leche filled doughnut here.

Universal Studios Florida has Early Park Admission, so we started our day there. If you can get to the parks early, you’ll beat a lot of the crowds.

We peeked into the window of the Leaky Cauldron and spotted long lines for breakfast. There aren’t too many food options available in the morning, so plan accordingly.

As we passed through CityWalk, we noticed that barricades had been set up for standby lines, but the parks did not hit capacity today.

Islands of Adventure was crowded, but thankfully, wait times aren’t too bad. Hogsmeade is always packed.

VelociCoaster soft opening continues in Jurassic Park. The wait time hasn’t been too bad, either. The attraction had an 80 minute wait when we stopped by this afternoon.

Clever girl.

Small, free lockers for VelociCoaster are located inside the queue and there is a place to check the size of your bag near the test seat at the entrance. Another space to check your bag has been added next to the large lockers in the Discovery Center.

New Jurassic World merchandise has arrived. There are socks, a multi-purpose headband, and even a Mr. DNA hat. You can see more new merchandise, with prices, in our post here.

Rope details have been added around the fences at the entrance of Camp Jurassic. This entire area of the park has been getting a lot of updates lately.

The speech bubbles have been missing from the trees in Toon Lagoon for a while and we wonder if they’ll return or not.

Popeye and Betty Boop were out greeting guests today in Toon Lagoon.

That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. We’ll be back again soon, so make sure you keep following Universal Parks News Today for all the latest updates.
