Earlier today, we learned more details about the upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, which will be opening next year adjacent to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. A model of the starcruiser Halcyon is now on display in Walt Disney Presents at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World Resort, posted about the model on Instagram before we were able to visit it this morning.

Though the actual hotel building will not look quite like the starcruiser model, the immersive experience includes covering the view of the exterior from the road so guests feel more like they are boarding a real spaceship.

Thirteen powerful thrusters push the ship through space.

Guests staying on the Halcyon will have views of space outside their windows.
