When we visited Disney California Adventure for the “A Touch of Disney” ticketed event in March, we noted work being done at The Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. The attraction’s exterior refurbishment is now complete, just in time to greet guests back to the theme park.
The scaffolding is down and the building’s façade is once again fully visible.
It appears that every include received a fresh coat of paint, including the roof.
The façade now includes a sea-like blue background on the The Little Mermaid marquee and the blocks that wrap around the building. These areas were previously the cream color of the building and outlined in teal.
For comparison, the attraction’s old façade can still be seen within the Disneyland mobile app.
Shades of cream and copper are used throughout the structure. The pillars have been refreshed with a new, darker shade of blue.
The interior dome and arches are painted in teal. The darker shades of blue provide a nice contrast.
