Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will be fully reopening in July, with Moana-themed rooms and a new Monorail station. While we wait for a closer look at the rooms, we are still checking on construction at the front of the resort.
The Monorail station supports that were previously painted pink have now been painted with a new coat of grey.
This is likely primer ahead of a more permanent brown color.
The station itself is filled with scaffolding, but the Monorail still goes through it.
In front of the Monorail station will be the new port-cochére.
Two rows of concrete columns have been ready for a few weeks.
The crossbeam roof for the port-cochére appears to be complete and will soon be raised into place.
Beneath the Monorail station, we could see even more of the scaffolding.
It still reaches to the other end of the station.
The columns on the other side of the station have been painted brown, but the platform still looks like concrete.
The exterior of the walkway to the Great Ceremonial House has mostly been painted pink.
Some columns are already brown.
Wooden railings are in place ahead of the actual railings being installed.
The corrugated roof was installed last week but will be covered.
