To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Walt Disney World Cast Members have not been allowed to handle guest phones to take photos of them in the past year. Now that health and safety measures are being rolled back, Cast Members can once again take photos with guest phones.
This applies to PhotoPass Photographers and regular Cast Members, who may take your photo if you ask.
Additionally, masks are optional for fully vaccinated Cast Members starting today. Physical distancing has also been almost entirely removed.

Cast members CAN SAY NO to taking personal devices. Understand that. Not all cast members are vaccinated and/or may not feel it safe to handle devices. Respect their SAFETY concerns.
