A new cavalcade celebrating the 50th anniversary of Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World will debut on October 1.
“Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade” will feature Mickey and all his friends in their new EARidescent outfits. The cavalcade will travel through Magic Kingdom several times a day, just like current cavalcades.

So there will be no return of the afternoon parade by October 1st, nor will there be a special 50th Anniversary parade . . .
so does this mean parades and actual meet and greet and hugs are not coming back?
So no new parade ??
There’s absolutely no reason the parade shouldn’t be brought back. So sick of the Chapek era.
So why aren’t parades and meet and greets back since all other “safety” restrictions have been removed? They don’t care how close guests stand to each other but the peasants need to keep their distance from the staff?
Because they laid off (fired) all of the cast members. There’s next to no one left to ‘meet and greet’. But that’s okay, they’ll digitally insert your favorite character into your magic photos.
Staffing I suspect. Auditions, rehearsals, etc take time.
What about the Festival of Fantasy parade? When is Fantasmic returning?
Festival of Fantasy parade will probably not happen this year.
Disney is still slacking…. Sigh
They suspended a lot of events due to pandemic, hopefully guests would forget about them and never bring them back.
Walt Disney World had a special 25th Anniversary Daytime Parade. Why can’t they have one for the 50th which is a bigger deal?
