PHOTO REPORT: Magic Kingdom & Disney’s Hollywood Studios 6/25/21 (Big Top Souvenirs Sign Removed, Liki Tiki Statues Spraying Water Once More, New Spider-Man Ear Hat, and More)
Hello from an overcast but lovely day here at Walt Disney World! The threat of rain kept the temperatures cooler today, and the real rain held off for most of the day, allowing us to get a good look at all the new things to show you. We started our day in the Magic Kingdom; let’s get take a look!
On Wednesday, we saw the lighter grey primer coat had been painted onto the Resort and Express Monorail Stations. Today we saw that the dark grey final coat had been started on the Express Monorail Station.
Moving on to construction updates, we found that the sign outside of Big Top Souvenirs had been removed for refurbishment. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
The restrooms near Splash Mountain are getting a bit of a refresher with a new color scheme. The pillars, which were brown, are now blue, and the banister is now brown and white instead of just brown.
The Liki Tiki statues outside of Jungle Cruise were spraying water and mist today for the first time since the parks reopened last year. For more pictures and information, including a video of them in action, check out our article here.
Moving on to merchandise, we found an unexpected arrival of the Limited Release “Stitch Crashes Disney” “Pinocchio” Series pin today at Star Traders for $24.99. While there is usually also a plush and MagicBand, only the pin was available today.
We found the perfect summer accessory for your nuiMOS with this flamingo pool innertube, available at The Emporium for $12.99.
Also available at The Emporium was this new castle belt buckle and belt, which retails for $29.99 and is available in two sizes.
Our favorite merchandise find at the Magic Kingdom was this Daisy Duck-inspired apparel line. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
While at the park today, we noticed that Cast Members were able to use guest’s phones once again to take pictures for them. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Moving on to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we found that guests were being seated with parties next to one another at “For The First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration.” When we asked a Cast Member to confirm this, we were told that guests could leave an open seat in between parties if they wished, but otherwise, they were being seated next to one another.
With physical distancing measures being removed across the parks, we found all traffic flow and capacity restrictions had been removed from the Market in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Guests were allowed to move freely within the Market, and the number of parties within any given stall was not restricted.
We found two new bags perfect for superhero fans at Keystone Clothiers. The Captain America crossbody bag retails for $39.99 and the Avengers waist bag retails for $29.99.
Our favorite merchandise find at Disney’s Hollywood Studios was this new Spider-Man ear hat. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
In the Toydarian Toymaker’s stall in the Market in Galaxy’s Edge, we found a new musical instrument, the Chindinkalu Flute. This unique piece plays sound effects and “authentic music.” Be sure to watch WDWNT.com for our article with more pictures and information.
We also found these fun rainbow droid panels in honor of pride month at Droid Depot for $12.99.
We want to take a minute and thank the Cast Members who make magic for guests every day. Even the smallest moment of laughter can mean the world to someone. We’re so happy we get to see your smiling faces again!
We had a wonderful time at Walt Disney World, and we hope you enjoyed following along. Have a magical day!
