The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Park is set to undergo a short “refurbishment” from August 16th – September 2nd. This can only mean one thing: the return of Sandy Claws!
“Haunted Mansion Holiday” has become a staple for the Disneyland iteration of the mansion. Each fall, Pumpkin King Jack Skellington decorates the mansion with “frightfully festive touches” inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Haunted Mansion Holiday did not occur in 2020, with Disneyland Resort closed due to COVID-19. After the resort’s reopening in April, it’s nice to see that some of our favorite traditions are returning as well!

The holiday version should not appear until after Halloween. I can’t believe Disney hasn’t figured this out yet.
I personally think they need to get rid of this overlay for good. Its been going on for years now and to first time visitors it must be very dissapointing to see an elegant classic like the Haunted Mansion dressed up in pumpkins and christmas lights. I will be visitng in November for the second time but I hate the fact that the house will have the overlay. I like NBC but this is too much.
Ah yes, disneyland should stop doing something millions of people enjoy because Jordan Steele said so 🙄
