Hello from a lovely day here at the Magic Kingdom! We got a little bit of a reprieve from the oppressive heat, and got to enjoy a bright, sunny day without record high temperatures. We found some things to show you, so let’s get started!
With such sudden progress on the removal of the keyhole tap points at the now-defunct Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom portals around the park, we expected to find them all removed today, but the same two remain in place. We will be watching these two to see how things develop.
All of the scaffolding underneath the reentry point to the illuminated grid at TRON Lightcycle / Run has been removed.
Gaston’s Fountain is finally operational again, although it is still sporting the leak at the base. It’s still not clear whether that “leak” is from damage to the fountain or actually an overflow point. Either way, we were happy to see the fountain functioning once again today.
On the Jungle Cruise, a palm frond has fallen across the first set of butterfly animatronics, halting their flapping motion. They’ve had a good run recently, running fairly consistently as far as we’ve seen, up until this point.
Further on in the attraction, crates have appeared in the former “ambushing Natives” scene, and are currently covered in tarp. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We found two new pieces of clothing at Memento Mori perfect for Haunted Mansion fans. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We had a wonderful time at the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along. Have a magical day!
