The refurbishment of Cinema Hall, the lobby of Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, is now partially complete.

The refurbishment began in early July.

There are some construction walls and tarp next to the completed section.

Like most Disney resorts, All-Star Movies is getting a lobby with a more open and accessible concept. This includes desks replacing the one long counter. Unfortunately, the Hollywood mural has been removed from behind this completed section.

The fronts of the desks have the silhouettes of Pluto, Minnie, and Mickey.

Mickey is behind a camera, while Pluto holds a boom mic. They’re surrounded by purple stars.

The purple, teal blue, and yellow color scheme of the desks match the rest of Cinema Hall.

Past the construction walls, part of the lobby has not been altered yet. This section still has one long counter and the Hollywood mural.

The entire refurbishment is set to be completed by mid-October.

  1. Looks so terrible, in my opinion. Dark and claustrophobic. With all the money that Disney has, I sometimes wonder why some of their lobbies/room look worse than your regular Holiday Inn room..

  2. The desks look nice, but they do need something on the wall behind them. The solid greenish wall looks very boring. Even some art work would do well back there.
