Though an opening date for TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom has not been released, construction of the coaster has been picking up in the past few months. A few days ago, new metal supports began to be installed on the canopy framework.
Strips of wire leading to and from the canopy’s lights are also visible across the framework.
The new metal pieces are visible atop the long stretches of white.
Crew members continue to work on preparing the framework for the eventual installation of the canopy.
The canopy will cover the outdoor portion of the coaster before it moves into the show building.
Construction has mostly paused on the two-level structure next to the coaster.
The arched pieces above this doorway are where guests will enter the attraction. The coaster’s launch is below.
The coaster’s entrance to the show building was completed a few weeks ago, with a rounded top. Scaffolding can still be seen inside, though.
Installation of the canopy supports has been quick. Hopefully, we’ll see the canopy itself arrive soon.

Tron: Lightcycle Run will be my favorite Thrill ride list and I can’t wait to ride on Tron: Lightcycle run in the Magic Kingdom. I hope the Walt Disney Railroad goes through Tron: Lightcycle run attraction. And also including the Tron: Lightcycle run signage too!
