Walt Disney World is working to bring the Candelight Processional back in a modified format for the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays later this year. Cast Members who participated in the Cast Choir in the past are being invited back with proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.
While Disney is seeking participants for the choir, they also noted they have not determined if the Candlelight Processional will return or in what form it may return. The safety of Cast Members and guests is under consideration as they make their decision.
EPCOT hosted the Taste of the International Festival of the Holidays last year, but the Candlelight Processional was canceled in September when it became clear that the required health and safety protocols would not permit the performance to proceed.
Would you like to see the Candlelight Processional return for 2021? Let us know in the comments below.
BRING IT BACK!!!!
BRING
BACK
HOOP
DEE
DOO
REVUE!
And the myriad of other shows! People’s livelihoods are at stake!
Totally agree!!!
Yes but without Whoopi Goldberg.
Why without Whoopi? Her appearance draws some of the longest standby lines for the processional each year, so she’s obviously very popular with guests.
We really missed the candlelight processional last year. We go every year when we come to Disney in late November
Please bring it back. The fact that Disney gives us the true meaning of Christmas through this experience is amazing!
It would be the biggest mistake Disney ever made to never bring back something that instills in us the TRUE MEANING OG CHRISTMAS. I pray that it comes back for the benefit of generations going forward!!!!!
Absolutely! Love the Candlelight Processional even if modified this year!
Yes I would love to see the Candlelight Processional come back to Epcot but only if it is safe for everyone. It is one of my favorite shows to see at Disney during the Christmas season.
If safe please bring back candlelight processional.
YES!! Candlelight is AMAZING and IMPORTANT part of Christmas at Disneyland and Disney World
The Candlelight Processional is a holiday tradition. I sure hope it is coming back. Am waiting so I can plan my trip in conjunction with the date/ narrator scheduled
Yes but not mandate the covid vaccine to participate… It’s up to the individual wether or not to take the vaccine. That’s next???? Are you going to mandate guests to be vaccinated in order to access the parks???? How STUPID can you be???? Are you turning into NAZI’S
You realize we vaccinate our children for so many more things. Why do you want to continue to have people die when the vaccine is helping. There are so many people that visit Disney and work for Disney that have health problems that they need people like you to be vaccinated so they don’t die. You are just selfish!!
As someone who is singing in the choir, myself and many others would not even consider it if they didn’t require vaccinations. You may not care about our safety, but we do.
It’s held OUTSIDE! what would be the reason to not bring it back!?
Held outside, yes, but literally standing shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of others. It’s for our safety.
Please find a way to bring back the Candlelight Processional…it is without a doubt our family’s favorite event Disney hosts throughout the year. As far as we are considered last year was a tragedy without it
It has been 18 days since I requested if the Candlelight Processional will be ‘modified’ as Disney stated. Many if us avid Disney PASSHOLDERS would like to know if any progress has been made for this event to take place. Time is running out, if I may be so bold to say that if Walt Disney World is able to celebrate Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary it should be able to bring back the Candlelight Processional- Disney has had over a year to make whatever arrangements needed by now.
Yes!! One of my favorite all time things to attend! 1/2 the reason we went at Christmas
Yes!!!!Bring it back!!!!
Yes! Best thing Disney has ever done!!
When will we know of there will be a candle light processional this year 2021?
Please bring it back. It makes the true meaning of Christmas a joyous celebration at Epcot!
