Disney Cruise Line Adds Central Florida COVID-19 Pre-Cruise Testing Option

Disney Cruise Line has been frequently updating its health and safety guidelines and requirements since sailings resumed last month. Guests twelve years old and older are required to be vaccinated, while guests eleven years old and under must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result between 3 days and 24 hours before their sail date.

The options for this COVID-19 test have been updated. As was previously the case, the test must be a rapid PCR test or lab-based PCR test. Rapid antigen tests are not accepted.

Guests may obtain a test from any independent testing supplier, as long as they are able to take the test, receive results, and submit results within the proper timeline. Guests may also use the Safe Passage website to purchase a test from Disney Cruise Line’s third-party vendor, Inspire Diagnostics. Previously, guests could only purchase an at-home kit, but they may now schedule a test in Central Florida 1-3 days before their sale date. With this option, guests who have already traveled to Florida a few days before their cruise may still easily get tested.

The cost for the Inspire Diagnostics test is $98.33. Testing locations will include the Orlando International Airport from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily and the Radisson Resort in Cape Canaveral from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM daily.

Guests who turn 12 within 5 weeks of embarkation are permitted to sail but must still provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken between 3 days and 24 hours before their sail date. They will also be required to take a COVID 19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal before boarding.
