The Lightning Lane entrance sign at Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom has a fresh coat of paint. Blue paint has been added behind the Lightning Lane sign that was installed at the previous FastPass+ entrance. Curiously, the shade of blue is not a match for other signs at the attraction.
The Lightning Lane sign was added in mid-September. Previously, the larger background was distressed from exposure to the elements. The two shades of blue do not match.
The photo above shows the sign prior to being repainted. Here, the Lightning Lane sign is obviously darker as it is new.
This wide photo shows three different Splash Mountain signs, each with a different shade of blue. The stand-by entrance sign to the right still has weathered blue paint. To the far right, the Splash Mountain sign is a third shade of blue. It is possible that Disney will paint all the signs in matching shades.
