A portion of road after the front gate is closed off with construction walls.
We noticed a French Quarter bus was “Celebrating 50 Years of Happy Haunts.”
Cast Members rolled out the red carpet for guests returning to the resort for the first time since March 2020.
50th anniversary welcome mats are at the front doors.
The check-in area is to the right upon entering the lobby.
Balloons were attached to the doors of Jackson Square, the resort’s gift shop.
Across the lobby is the quick-service restaurant Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.
Outside, guests can find more New Orleans architecture and flair.
This includes a band of alligators leading guests to the pool.
The Mardi Grogs bar has reopened.
