Meadow Trading Post at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has an interesting new display. A Vault Collection display has been added to one table. In addition to merchandise, the display features easter eggs in the form of canned goods.
A 1970s-style television anchors the display. It is surrounded by merchandise, suitcases, and canned goods props.
The television shows images of Fort Wilderness in its early days.
On the left, a Donald Duck display is topped with a lunchbox and two cans. The cans are references to Disney films and divisions. In this case, “Ratatouille” and WED Enterprises.
The “07” on the Remy’s Potato Soup label alludes to “Ratatouille’s” 2007 premiere.
This can pyramid has one can for each of the original Walt Disney World Resorts. Appropriately, the Fort Wilderness version is a can of beans.
As we saw at Port of Entry in EPCOT, suitcases are part of the display. It looks like this traveler is bringing a pair of yellow shoes.
The Mickey Mouse display is also capped with cans. Here we see references to “Cinderella,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “The Little Mermaid.”
The opposite side has even more cans and easter eggs to explore.
