October is finally here, and Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs, already famous for its eerie atmosphere, is celebrating the spookiest time of the year in style with some monstrous treats.
Frankenstein Cookie – $6
The Frankenstein is a returning favorite. Each bite includes a dark chocolate cookie, double stuffed Oreos, and M&Ms. The chocolate is the perfect amount and is not overpowering. This cookie would pair perfectly with a peanut butter cold brew.
Bride of Frankenstein Cookie – $6
The Bride of Frankenstein is perfect for the white chocolate lover. Otherwise, it’s the same as the Frankenstein. Both are great choices.
Frankenstein Cake – $9
The Frankenstein Cake is a super delicious spooky version of a favorite! This is very similar to Gideon’s traditional cookies and cream cake, but with layers of chocolate frosting, M&Ms, and green decorative frosting. The frosting layers have a generous amount of cookie crumbles, and the M&Ms add a nice crunch. It doesn’t look much like a Halloween treat, but it’s a great cake for chocolate lovers. We would get it again.
Chocolate Pumpkin Shadow Cake – $6
Devil’s Food Cake filled with whipped pumpkin cream and coated in a crunchy chocolate shell
These are similar in style to a cake pop. The devil’s food cake inside is extremely moist, more so than their traditional cakes, and it is delicious. The chocolate is not too rich and balances the sweeter pumpkin filling, which is light and tasty. The chocolate shell can get messy quickly in the heat, so we recommend eating them quickly.
