REVIEW: The Big Al Burger and Bear Tracks Slushy Steal the Show at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe for 50th Anniversary of the Magic Kingdom

50 years of the Magic Kingdom means 50 years of the Country Bear Jamboree, and after Wendell’s Bear Claw was a smash hit, we were eager to try more treats. We moseyed on into Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe for The Big Al, Bear Tracks Slushy, and EARidescence Nugget Churros.

The Big Al Burger – $14.99

Double Bacon Cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomato, and Maple Whiskey Barbecue Sauce

The Big Al was really well done. It’s a hefty burger paired with a nice blend of cheeses that accent the beef instead of making it bland. The bun wasn’t anything of note, but a bad bun can ruin a burger, and it was good enough so as not to do that. We will be back for more.

EARidescence Nugget Churros – $5.89

Served with Chocolate Dipping Sauce

The barely noticeable sparkles of EARidescence did little to help these stale churro pieces. Walt Disney World tends to have bad churros compared to other Disney resorts, and this dish maintains 50 years of tradition.

Bear Tracks Slushy – $5.99

Root Beer and Vanilla Slushy topped with Whipped Cream, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter Pieces

A really interesting and delicious concoction. The body of the slush has a vanilla-forward taste with a hint of root beer. Drinking without the use of a straw will also blend whipped cream, chocolate, and peanut butter into each sip, of which the peanut butter is slightly overpowering and can mask the root beer. It’s a fantastic and unique addition here. We recommend giving it a try.
