With Universal Studios Japan’s 20th Anniversary “NO LIMIT!” celebration underway, the park has announced its plans for their 20th holiday season, including the return of the Christmas tree, special holiday shows and treats, and even merchandise to fit the season!
The event will take place this year (and into next year!) across the park from November 26, 2021, to January 10, 2022. This is a rather unusual move for the park, with their holiday celebrations usually concluding before the new year.
One of the main highlights of the celebration is, of course, the return of the park’s Christmas tree for the first time since 2019. The tree will be planted in Gramercy Park and can be seen from every side. This year’s tree will be particularly special; in fact, as it will be decorated in the colors of the NO LIMIT! celebration that we’ve seen through the year!
One of the special programs will, of course, be the holiday version of NO LIMIT! Time, which can only be experienced this year as part of the Christmas celebration.
Popular Universal Studios Japan characters like the Minions, Snoopy, Elmo, and Hello Kitty will come out throughout the park in special holiday greetings to greet Guests from a distance.
The park will also launch a special AR Instagram filter featuring the NO LIMIT! Christmas Tree and digital Santa hats, and the official Universal Studios Japan Instagram account will conduct a special campaign featuring the filter later in the season.
Plenty of holiday food is also on the way, such as the Snoopy chicken tomato cream bun and the adorable reindeer caramel milk tea seen above! The Discovery Restaurant in Jurassic Park will also host an all-Christmas menu for the first time, with more details to come. Special treats and drinks just for the winter season will also come to Super Nintendo World, as this will be its first winter season in full operation.
Guests will also be able to find plenty of new and returning holiday and winter merchandise as Osaka cools down for the winter.
All of these holiday festivities will again take place from November 26 through January 10th, so be sure to add Universal Studios Japan to your nice list if you’re in Japan and making holiday plans this year.
