To coincide with the arrival of the hotel’s gingerbread house, an assortment of cookies and baked goods with holiday flair are available.

For those who have trouble deciding, there’s a cookie box available for $22.00.

Inside, a variety of cookies are included, including a glittery one that says “Season’s Greetings.”

Several cookies feature the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head in different holiday designs.

These cookie shots come in red velvet and chocolate chip.

But how does it all taste? Let’s dig in!

Cookie Shot — $8 (Non-Alcoholic), $15 (With Alcohol)

We went with the red velvet version. This one is much softer than the chocolate chip cookie shot we had at Halloween. Also, the regular milk was a good choice.

The cookie is surprisingly soft, and while the red velvet “flavor” isn’t super strong, it’s just a good, sweet cookie. The white chocolate coating holds up well and the sprinkles are so cute, offering a delicate crunch.

This is a fun treat for kids and adults alike. To make it an adults-only treat, opt for the shots of liqueur, which include Captain Morgan, RumChata, Grand Marnier, Baileys Irish Cream, and peppermint schnapps.

Mickey Poinsettia Cookie — $9.00

The poinsettia cookie is made with a vanilla bean shortbread, and it’s much better than the traditional shortbread cookie offered in the snowman cookie. It’s sweeter, more buttery, and just better overall.

The sugar coating is delicious, but the poinsettias are very hard and made with a crunchy decorative frosting.

Overall, this is the best cookie we’ve had so far.

Mickey Snowman Cookie — $9.00

This is the traditional Disney shortbread cookie with chocolate coating on top dyed black to make those iconic mouse ears.

It’s a solid holiday treat. It’s not the greatest cookie on the table, but definitely no slouch, either.

Mickey Christmas Cookie — $9.00

The Christmas cookie, featuring Mickey in a design inspired by a Santa hat, is made with the same basic shortbread as the snowman cookie.

Gingerbread Stout Cake — $12.00

This stout cake is interesting. It’s not quite a gingerbread, but it doesn’t quite taste like stout.

It’s sweet and subtly spiced with a healthy dose of orange peel flavor, which definitely makes it a holiday spice cake. And as good as it is, there’s just something about it that leaves us wanting.

It’s very dense, and surprisingly more moist than you would think for a brick of cake like this. The icing on top is just that – the icing on the cake, in that it’s not really necessary, but it definitely brings a nice sweet, creamy touch to the cake.

Overall, it’s a nice little dessert that is probably suitable to share among two or three people and would pair very well with a cup of apple cider or some hot chocolate, resting by the fire in the lobby of the Grand Californian.
