Disney+ will now support Apple SharePlay, allowing users to stream with up to 32 other people while on a FaceTime call.
This feature is available globally to Disney+ subscribers with an iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV that runs tvOS 15.1, iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, or later.
In a statement, Jerrell Jimerson, EVP of product and design for Disney Streaming, said, “SharePlay provides another opportunity for personal friends and family around the world to come together and create new memories with their favorite stories on Disney+.”
SharePlay is in addition to GroupWatch, which is available through Disney+ for all subscribers and allows up to seven accounts to watch something together.
