Bright suns! On our latest voyage to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we discovered new Droid Factory Mystery Crates at the Droid Depot.
Droid Factory Mystery Crates – $14.99 each
Each Mystery Crate contains one droid action figure.
The packaging, while nicely themed, offers very little information about the contents.
We were eager to discover our droid, so we cracked the crate open. The droid is inside a black bag, so you can’t peek through the crate windows and figure out which one is inside.
We were pleasantly surprised to find out the droid is, in true Droid Factory style, waiting to be assembled.
Each droid comes with a small sticker label showing its name. Our first mystery droid was C1-4B, a C1 series astromech unit. Guests can spot a full-sized C1-4B on a shelf inside the Droid Depot.
Here’s C1-4B fully assembled. The crate’s lid has grooves for the droid to sit.
We unboxed the second crate to find CH-83, a yellow and white BB unit. Both C1-4B and CH-83 are models also available as wind-up toys.
The shell snaps into the “motor” of the droid.
A fully assembled CH-83.
A semi-circle groove allows the BB units to sit atop the crate as well.
