Frontierland Hoedown Happening Fails to Happen on Announced Return Date at Magic Kingdom

The Frontierland Hoedown Happening failed to return to Magic Kingdom today, despite the previous announcement that it would be back on February 11.

A Frontierland Cast Member told us this afternoon that it was supposed to happen at 12:20 and 1:30 p.m. but did not know why the performances were canceled.

The hoedown features Disney characters and Cast Members dancing in the streets at surprise intervals. The experience is to be modified for physical distancing, but exact details were not announced.

Concurrently, Splash Mountain failed to reopen this morning after its refurbishment.

  1. “Despite the previous announcement that it would be back” but links to their own article, not an official one from Disney.

Maybe it’s just something to give cast members hours and won’t be an every day occurance? Are the times listed on the app and made public? Was it an entertainment cast member you talked to or a random Frontierland one? Maybe y’all aren’t as informed as you like to believe 🤷‍♂️
