REVIEW: New Magic Key Magic Shake is Not So Magical at Disneyland Resort

We headed on over to Black Tap at Downtown Disney District to try the new Magic Shake, a new drink available for Magic Key Holder Celebration Month. Read on for our review.

Magic Shake – $12

A blueberry classic shake topped with sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry

With a blueberry pie base shake, this one doesn’t bring a whole lot to the table.

There’s blueberry, pie crust chunks, and sweet creamy ice cream. It’s rather straightforward and not really that extraordinary.

Not that it’s bad, but it just seems kind of run-of-the-mill. That being said, any day can be improved with a little bit of ice cream. While we were already enjoying our day at Disneyland, ice cream makes it that much better. So we can’t really complain overall.

This shake isn’t anything fancy, but it’s a good, solid shake with a hint of blueberry that will satisfy your sweet tooth. But we wouldn’t go out of our way to go and grab one.

And in a plastic cup with a cover, it’s definitely not as attractive-looking as the promotion photos that Disneyland released below.
