Living with the Land is celebrating the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival with special edible flower gardens and topiaries.
Even when there isn’t a festival, Living With the Land is always changing to incorporate seasonal items.
At the beginning of the greenhouse portion of the ride are pineapples.
Water chestnuts were added across from the pineapples.
There is signage throughout indicating “edible flowers,” even those plants that are usually visible on the ride.
This Mickey topiary was next to the stream, surrounded by potted plants.
Here is a peanut butter tree.
They were next to miracle fruit.
After the fish tank tunnel is a fountain and a greenery archway.
Across from the fountain is a larger Mickey topiary made out of bougainvillea.
We spotted some birdhouses in this greenhouse, including this one among the sunflowers behind the Mickey topiary.
Each birdhouse had a different style. These were all on the right before entering the next room.
The next room had the vegetable garden.
On the left are eggplants.
Orange flowers are being used in this variety trial.
The nutrient film technique beds have a “50” and Mickey head in them.
Another sign indicated another edible garden.
“Potager” is another word for a garden of edible plants.
There was one more edible flower garden.
A wheelbarrow was set up with other gardening materials.
The garden was decorated with bikes acting as flower baskets.
Among the plants were dianthus, cilantro, and Brussels sprouts.
A patio table and chairs were set up with violet lemonade.
There were more colorful variety trials on the right just before exiting the greenhouse.
