Hey there, hi there, ho there! We headed down to the Disneyland Resort to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and see what there is to see. So come join us on this grand circle tour of both parks!
Disneyland
On Main Street, U.S.A., we were happy to see that the Crystal Arcade is visible again after its refurbishment, and now it has some shiny new panels.
These mirrored panels give a fun perspective as guests look up to look down while walking past.
Inside the Emporium, first edition of Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction has arrived and it’s themed to Space Mountain. We got a pair of mouse ears, a Spaceman Mickey plush and a pin in our collection. You can see them all right here.
We also spotted a pair of trouble-makers hanging out on this shelf. Stitch Crashes Disney has now landed in Disneyland. You can take a close-up look at both plushes right here.
Across the street, we found a newly released Mulan pin, as seen above, and a set of Spider-Man pins, below.
With the warm weather and bright sun, we are really getting some springtime vibes nowadays.
And, of course, spring at Disneyland means pink trees.
Over in Fantasyland, Merlin’s Marvelous Miscellany has recently opened.
The shelves are full of props and trinkets seen in “Sword in the Stone.”
You can take a full walkthrough tour on our YouTube page, or by clicking on the video below:
Inside Merlin’s new shop can be found a collection of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell merchandise that just flew in from the United Kingdom Pavilion at EPCOT. You can see the whole collection (with prices) right here.
Speaking of Tinker Bell, she has recently returned to Pixie Hollow here at the park and guests are once again invited to come and meet her at her teapot house.
Though guests still cannot approach characters directly, Tink makes it fun by showing off her fancy new fence.
You can see our whole interaction with Tinker Bell on our YouTube page, or by clicking the video below:
We hit the trail out to Frontierland where we have a meeting planned with a certain magical Madrigal this afternoon, but first — snacks!
We tried the new Strawberry Lemonade funnel cake available now from Stage Door Café. You can read our full review of this sweet treat right here.
Mirabel Madrigal from ‘Encanto’ is now greeting guests in Frontierland, in the plaza near Miguel from ‘Coco.’ We stopped by to say hello and welcome her to her new greeting spot.

Dreams may come true in New Orleans, and our dream is for all of these refurbishment projects to finish up in a hurry! The walkways, the Sailing Ship Columbia, Tom Sawyer’s Island, Pirates of the Caribbean and Tarzan’s Treehouse are all currently covered in scrim or construction walls as projects sit in various stages of completion.
We’re glad to have the updates, but it does make for a more cramped experience walking through the land.
With Cafe Orleans on the left and French Market straight ahead, this becomes a dead-end at the entrance to French Market and guest traffic is funneled into the winding walkways of the French Quarter.
Over in Tomorrowland, it’s much easier to check on some of the refurbishment and construction progress aboard the Monorail. Come ride with us!
Soaring over the lagoon of Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, we can see that scaffolding still surrounds much of the ride.
Take a look at our whole update right here with even more peeks behind the walls at the ongoing refurbishment.
Further down the line, we also get to check in on the Downtown Disney demolition progress.
You can take a look at our whole construction update on this project right here.
We got some great views of the rest of the park too, that were too good not to share.
Back on terra firma, it was time for some more snacks. This Key Lime Pie Slush from Galactic Grill is the perfect treat on a hot afternoon. Take a look at our full review right here.
And this marshmallow churro was just fantastic, and the fluff dipping sauce can’t be beat. Read our whole review right here.
Disney California Adventure
Showtimes have been posted for the imminent return of World of Color, but there is still work to be done to get the show ready.
Crews are working diligently to get the projectors and fountains ready to dance along and light up the night.
Nearby on the shores of Paradise Bay, we found a new photo op for “Turning Red.”
In Avengers Campus, Tanaleer Tivan has finally gotten around to replacing his Lightning Lane sign.
Ever since the Lightning Lane was introduced at Disneyland, there has been a placeholder sign that very clearly did not match the other signage at the attraction. But we noticed today that it has been replaced with a properly themed sign that matches the others.
Captain America was out today greeting guests and keeping an eye out for evil-doers.
We stopped in for lunch at Award Wieners for their new Southwest Cheesesteak and some Strawberry Shortcake Funnel Cake Fries. You can read all about it right here.
We also indulged in a shake… or three… from Schmoozies! Read our reviews right here.
Nearby in Off the Page, we found some of the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary collection merchandise, including the Funko POP! of Cinderella Castle and a set of vintage signs, and more.
We also found this cute new Mickey shoulder bag, in very Spring-y pastel colors.
Finally, we stopped by to check on our favorite Christmas trees in Paradise Bay that have now made it to the ides of March without being taken down. We really hope they stay up all year round, they’re as much part of the park as Grizzly Peak now.
Well, that’s it from us here at Disneyland. We’re glad you rode along. Be sure to leave a comment below, letting us know what you think of the photo report. We’ll see ya real soon!
