As part of the Batuu excursion on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, passengers receive special Lightning Lane passes called “experience redemptions.” Unlike standard Lightning Lane, these can be redeemed any time during your excursion. They are valid for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Every passenger aboard the Halcyon has these experience redemptions attached to their MagicBand, but guests participating in the story may also have missions that send them to the rides. These missions can still be completed at any time during the excursion.
If you already rode an attraction and then get a mission for it, you are able to tell the character you’ve already done it. You aren’t able to use an experience redemption multiple times.
Warning: There might be slight story spoilers ahead.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
If you are helping the First Order (as we did on our first voyage), Lt. Croy will give you a mission to inspect Ohnaka Transport Solutions. He provides a picture of the entrance to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and a map to help you find it. He says the crew will ask you to tap your Databand a.k.a. MagicBand.
If you are working for the Resistance, they will send you to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to help steal the coaxium.
Tapping your MagicBand (which is provided by Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser) will give you access to Lightning Lane. The ride itself is the same except for a few references to the Halcyon by Hondo. You can see those in the video below.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
As for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Croy gives guests a mission to infiltrate the Resistance camp on Batuu.
Just like with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, he sends photos and a map to help guests find the entrance. He instructs guests to tell Cast Members they want to enlist, and then they will be able to tap their Databand and enter the Lightning Lane.
The Resistance will also send you on a mission to the ride with similar instructions.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has no changes related to Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
If Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is down, Croy and the Resistance will send guests on an alternate mission.
You are able to tell Croy that you can’t enter the Resistance camp, and he will then send you on the alternate mission. Presumably, a similar thing happens if Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run goes down.
